Yesterday, Princess Marie attended the L’Oréal-UNESCO Awards for Women in Science 2019 as Patron of the Danish Committee of UNESCO. Read more below.
These awards were created in Denmark in 2007 by the L’Oreal Foundation and UNESCO. The awards exist in different countries as well. Princess Marie has previously attended in 2013, 2015 and in 2017 .
The awards aims to recognize women in science and push women to expose their ideas and their works. Each year, three women are chosen among the contestants to receive the awards. An important objective for the award ceremony is to highlight the good role models among women in scientific research and to attract more women to the natural sciences. This year’s winners are Ph.D. Stine Linding Andersen, Assistant Professor Maria Andreasen and Assistant Professor Vida Engmann.
Princess Marie wore her Hugo Boss Kusima dress for this event. She debuted the dress in 2017 and wore it multiple times since, including last January. It’s the first she pairs a belt with the dress.

She chose to wear her Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ navy suede pumps and her Longchamp blue clutch. Her jewels are all repeated.
