This weekend, Prince Joachim took part in the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix and his family was there to support him!

Prince Joachim is the Patron of the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix and takes part in the race every year. He is part of the Cortina Racing team alongside Oscar Davidsen Siesbye and Martin Brener. As always, the coverage of the weekend in the media is underwhelming so we have to rely on social media.
On Friday, Prince Joachim attended the official opening reception hosted by Mayor Frank Jensen at Copenhagen’s City Hall. In the evening, he also attended the opening dinner.
On Saturday, the Cortina Racing team had an interview with Go’morgen og Go’aften Danmark. When asked if his children were interested in racing, Prince Joachim said: “They should be able to try. Not necessarily in the Cortina team. But the elders have been allowed to try to sit in more than go-karting and test their powers with themselves and a carriage set up for motorsport. On Saturday, the Cortina Racing team had an interview with Go’morgen og Go’aften Danmark. When asked if his children were interested in racing, Prince Joachim said: “They should be able to try. Not necessarily in the Cortina team. And the two little ones have tried electric go-karting and have definitely shown good beats. Especially little Athena. She has something in her with balance and with a sense of how to take turns. So there is hope ahead!”
Then, they took part in the qualifications races. Afterward, his team took part in an event where they talked about their experiences during races.
He was later joined by Princess Marie, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena.
Marie wore new a Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with navy shorts and new Toni Pons striped espadrilles.

She paired the outfit with a new Goyard bag and her old sunglasses. She also wore her Christine Hvelplund initials necklace with new Christine Hvelplund Fairytale earrings and two new necklaces.

In the evening, they attended a dinner at At Dolores to celebrate the grand prix. Marie wore an old ufo dress that she first wore tin 2010.
On Sunday, the Cortina Racing team took part in another event talking about their experiences during races.
Then they took part in the actual race. Oscar Davidsen Siesbye finished 3rd and Martin Brener and Tom Kristiansen finished 2nd in their category.
There is no photos I can share of Princess Marie’s full outfit so far but she wore a new white top by Sandro and a new printed skirt. She wore the same jewels she wore on Saturday and also carried her Goyard bag. I will update the post if more photos come out.
It looks like it was a fun weekend for everyone involved! This is probably the last time we see Prince Joachim in a while since he will start his high level military management training in Paris, France in September. Princess Marie usually attends several events in Denmark in August for her patronages but we don’t know yet if she will attend them this year.
