Princess Marie attends events for World AIDS Day as Patron of the AIDS Fondation

Today, Princess Marie undertook events in Copenhagen in honor of World AIDS Day as Patron of the AIDS Fondation. Read more below.

Princess Marie first attended the annual Christmas concert of the foundation. The concert is usually held at the end of November or the beginning of December at Trinitatis Kirke. Princess Marie is Patron of AIDS-Fondet since December 1st, 2012.

This year, the concert included performances by opera singers Brit-Tone Müllertz and Jens-Christian Wandt, violinist Niklas Walentin, pianist Alexander McKenzie and organist Frederik Magle. Susse Wold, actress and President of the foundation, as well as Andreas Gylling Æbelø, the director of the foundation, were also in attendance.

Following the concert, Princess Marie attended another annual event to mark World AIDS Day with the foundation. Each year, candles are lit in honor of those who lost their lives because of HIV. This event was created in 1994 by the Positive Group. The Positive Group offers support for people infected by HIV.

Marie wore her red coat that she first wore at Christmas 2013 with her Maje ‘Maud’ top and grey trousers. She wore her Gianvito Rossi grey suede pumps as well.

It looks like Marie also wore a new bracelet by Alexander Lynggaard in collaboration with AIDS Fondet: “When you buy the Rainbow bracelet by ALEXANDER LYNGGAARD CPH you show your support to the key-populations that are affected the most by the AIDS-epidemic. For every bracelet sold ALEXANDER LYNGGAARD CPH will donate the surplus to The Danish AIDS Foundation which works to end AIDS and to end discrimination against people living with HIV.”

  1. What a marvellous event, the Princess is doing so well. She looked beautiful in her grey and red ensemble. Shoes are divine.
