Prince Henrik’s School was created in 1954 and was named after Prince Henrik in 1989. The school offers teaching in Danish and in French and welcomes 800 students. It is hoped the new buildings will be opened in 2023.
In her speech – made in Danish and in French – Princess Marie said: “I know how much effort has been put into realizing this project, and I know how much my father-in-law Prince Henrik wanted the project to be completed. […] I am moved, because this project, a strong symbol of the relationship between Denmark and France, is intended for one of the most beautiful causes there is: the education of our children.”
Princess Marie concluded her speech by honoring one of Prince Henrik’s traditions, inviting the guests to join her for three cheers in honor of the school.

Princess Marie wore a new white Zara coat over a navy knit top and navy trousers.

She wore repeated earrings, her Zara navy ankle boots, and her Bottega Veneta blue clutch.
