On Monday evening, Princess Marie attended the Annual International Stop Wasting Food Dinner at the French Embassy in Copenhagen. Read more below.

The international Stop Wasting Food Dinner was hosted by Selina Juul and the Ambassador of France to Denmark Caroline Ferrari to support the fight against food waste. In addition to Princess Marie, guests included high-level leaders from organizations and businesses. This dinner is an annual tradition with a different embassy hosting each year.

The French Ambassador’s daughter Madeleine gave Princess Marie flowers upon her arrival and Princess Marie thanked her in French and noted the bouquet was edible.

The menu was created by French chef Etienne Lemaire and was made of surplus food. The dinner was hosted in connection with the International and National Day Against Food Waste on September 29th.

About the dinner, Selina Juul said: “I am really happy and honored that HE the France Ambassador to Denmark Caroline Ferrari and The French Embassy will host the successful Annual International Stop Wasting Food Dinner – and I look forward to a good collaboration. It is very positive that France is stepping up its focus on food waste at this important event. It is gratifying to see that the focus on this important issue is growing across countries and nationalities.”

About hosting the dinner, the Ambassador of France to Denmark said: “About a third of the food we produce every year in the world is wasted. This is contrary to our vision of a sustainable food system as well as to Agenda 2030 and the World Goals. For years, France has been a leader in food waste control. However, no one can break the basket alone. We need the support of all stakeholders: governments, businesses, charities and consumers. Therefore, it is a real honor and a privilege for the French Embassy to host the Annual International Stop Wasting Food Dinner and assist Selina Juul and her association Stop Wasting Food Movement in their unique efforts to put focus on food waste and create change.”

Billed-Bladet reports the menu consisted of smoked salmon grill and forgotten vegetables as well as Cod parmesan and field salad. French cheeses were also a must for the dinner.

Princess Marie wore a repeated black cardigan with a new Ba&Sh printed skirt and her Ba&sh black belt.

She paired the outfit with her Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ glitter pumps and a new bag by Olga Berg.

She also wore her Christine Hvelplund earrings and necklace, a repeated ring, and her Rolex watch.

She looks nice, but a little more casual than I expected for this event. It is good to see her supporting this event again. Thank you for the clothing Id’s!
