Princess Marie attended the event as Patron of DanChurchAid which collaborates on the calendar with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DR. The calendar was presented to school children this morning before being made available for all children in Denmark.

The calendar is an annual tradition for Christmas. It supports children in developing countries and at the same time helps to give Danish families an important insight into different children’s lives. The money raised by the sale of the calendars is used by DanChurchAid for their work and this year, the calendar will support Kenya as DanChurchAid ensures schooling for the children in Kenya’s poorest region, Turkana.

During the event, Princess Marie sat down on the stage to talk to the children about Turkana, DanChurchAid’s work, but also her own trips to developing countries with DanChurchAid over the years.

Princess Marie wore a new Armani Collezioni jacket with a new animal print skirt by Pennyblack.

She paired the outfit with her Naledi Copenhagen clutch and repeated black suede ankle boots.

She also wore hoop earrings, her Christine Hvelplund “H&A” necklace, and her DanChurchAid brooch which she received last September to mark her 10th anniversary as Patron.

  1. I like the new pieces Maria is wearing especially the jacket with the cinched in waist, but I wish they weren’t both in black. I would like to see Maria wear more color in her everyday event clothes.
