On Monday, Princess Marie visited Epilepsihospitalet Filadelfia in Dianalund as Patron of the Danish Epilepsy Association. Read more below.
Epilepsihospitalet Filadelfia is the only hospital in Denmark that focuses solely on epilepsy and it is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.
In her speech, Princess Marie said: ” Our brains are some of the most complex – but also the most beautiful. This is where thoughts and feelings arise. Epilepsy is a complicated disease of the brain – which not only causes epileptic seizures but also challenges with loss of skills and social difficulties. Here in Filadelfia, you not only treat patients – but see the whole person. You have respect for the person as a crucial value.”
After the ceremony marking the anniversary, Princess Marie toured the hospital and met with patients and staff.
Princess Marie repeated a floral printed dress by Goat Fashion (now Jane Lewis).
She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Naledi Copenhagen clutch.
She also wore her Christine Hvelplund necklace and her Rolex watch.
