Earlier today, Crown Prince Frederik was joined by his mother, his wife and his children on the balcony of Amalienborg Palace to be celebrated by the Danish people.

Tonight, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the gala dinner along with other members of the royal family and members of foreign royal families.

Prince Nikolai’s mother Countess Alexandra attended too. It was really great to see her wearing her tiara and the Order of the Elephant again! She wore a lovely new pink lace gown by Elsa Adams.

Princess Marie wore a new Elie Saab blue sequined gown. My very good friend Laura found it and I couldn’t be happier. Like I said on Twitter, this was my dream combo so I legit had tears in my eyes when Laura sent that message. I am so happy and she looks very good! Princess Marie decided to remove the sleeves, which I think was a good decision as I feel like the sleeved version might have been too much for Marie.

I can’t be 100% sure but I believe her new navy suede sandals are from Michael Kors. The ‘Hutton’ sandals are described as such: “Luxe suede construction and a stiletto heel combine to a refined effect on our Hutton sandals. Fastened with a slim, adjustable ankle strap, this minimalist style adds alluring height to bodycon dresses and denim alike.”

She accessorized with her blue Bottega Veneta clutch.

She wore her usual diamond floral tiara with new earrings. Christine Hvelplund, Princess Marie’s favorite jewelry designer, confirmed to me that these new earrings were part of her newest collection but they aren’t available yet. They are called ‘Fairytale’.

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie privately celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on 24 May and they looked very happy tonight!

We’ll next see Prince Joachim and Princess Marie tomorrow when they’ll attend the concert ‘All of Denmark celebrates its Crown Prince’ with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie join the royal family to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation

Today, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie joined the royal family to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte attended the commemoration at the Parliament at Christianborg Palace. Queen Margrethe made a speech celebrating Martin Luther’s 95 theses which started the Reformation. A children’s choir also performed.

Here is a video of the family’s arrival :

In the evening, the family gathered at DR Concert Hall to attend a concert celebrating the Anniversary.  The music was in tune with Luther’s universe with Bach, Wagner and Poulenc.

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie posed on the red carpet.

For the day event, Princess Marie wore her Zara black belted jacket , first worn in 2014 , with her black Chanel skirt, first worn in 2010 , and a new top.

She carried the same Bottega Veneta clutch as earlier in the day with her Jimmy Choo black glitter Romy pumps she debuted earlier this year. The brooch was a gift from Queen Margrethe for Princess Athena’s Christening in 2012 and the earrings are old.

Princess Marie at the French Embassy for the Prix Litteraire des Ambassadeurs

Yesterday, Princess Marie was at the French Embassy in Copenhagen for the Prix Littéraire des Ambassadeurs (Ambassadors’ Literature Price). The Prix Littéraire des Ambassadeurs is a literary price created in 2002 by the ambassadors in Denmark of the countries taking part in the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), or the countries in which French language has a big influence.

Marie is Patron of the Prix Littéraire des Ambassadeurs since 2009. This Price aims to focus on cultural diversity and aims to promote the culture of French-speaking countries in Denmark. This year, Rwandan writer Scholastique Mukasonga won the price for her book ‘Notre-Dame du Nil’ (Our Lady of the Nile), published in French in 2012 and translated to Danish in 2014.

Princess Marie wore a new beautiful rose-print dress from Giambattista Valli and her favorite Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps with her Bottega Veneta clutch.

State Visit

Reception hosted by the Icelandic Presidential couple during their state visit to Denmark

Last night, after a day of engagements with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, the President of Iceland and his wife hosted a reception in honor of the Royal family at the Hotel in Copenhagen.

Return dinner & reception hosted by the couple visiting is a tradition during a state visit which the entire royal family attends. It’s usually a great way to see them together in a less formal setting than during a gala dinner.
For this reception, Princess Marie wore a jacket which she first wore in 2011 while pregnant with Princess Athena and a old UFO skirt.

She also wore her Bottega Veneta brown clutch with nude Sergio Rossi pumps and her Christine Hvelplund earrings and ring.
