Today, the Danish Royal Family attended the official Opening of Parliament in Copenhagen.
It takes place each year on the first Tuesday of October in the Parliament at Christianborg Palace. The family has a passive role in this opening so it often results in very funny photos of the family looking bored while listening to the speeches.
Princess Marie wore a fully recycled outfit for this ceremony. She paired her Paule Ka white and navy coat with her Warehouse floral printed dress. It looks like she added a turtleneck because of the bad weather.
She paired this outfit with her Longchamp navy clutch and her Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ navy suede pumps. Marie is definitely a fan of the ‘Romy’ pumps as she wore them in black suede on September 26th and 28th, in black glitter on the 29th and in navy today.
She also chose to recycle her Whiteley navy hat.
We’ll next see Princess Marie next Wednesday when she’ll join Prince Joachim and the Danish Royal Family to celebrate Island’s 100th anniversary of Independence.
Today, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended Flag Day ceremonies. Flag Day is each September 5th and honors those who have served for Denmark and every year since 2011, one couple attends the ceremonies in Copenhagen. Last year, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended.
This year, both couples attended. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the ceremonies in Copenhagen. Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the ceremonies in Skive for the first time. They first attended a service at Skive Church.
Then, they laid a wreath at a memorial at Skive’s Kaserne.
The couple had lunch at the Kaserne where they learned about its history. It was a special commemoration for Skive’s Kaserne as fifteen years ago, they lost three soldiers during a mission in Kabul.
They finished the day by watching the military parade in front of Skive’s Kaserne.
For this event, Princess Marie choose an appropriate outfit , wearing her Zara ruffled coat first worn earlier this year and her Warehouse dress first worn at Prince Nikolai’s confirmation in 2013.
She wore blue shoes and her blue Longchamp clutch first worn in 2012 and her By Malene Birger blue suede pumps first worn in 2016.
She chose her favorite Whiteley hat with her favorite brooch, a gift from Queen Margrethe for the birth of Princess Athena in 2012.
We’ll next see Princess Marie on Thursday when she visits a company celebrating their 50th anniversary as Patron of DEMA.
